Samsung has officially introduced a new large smartphone alongside the Galaxy Note 4, namely the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge comes with innovative and unique 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display with curved edge on the side.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge’s display has resolution of Quad HD+ 2560 x 1440 pixels and about 160 pixels for the edge screen. According to the press, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge’s unique curved edge screen provides quick access to frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality.
The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge are almost similar with the Galaxy Note 4. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is equipped with Quad-core processor 2.5 GHz Krait 450, Adreno 420 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB / 64GB of internal storage, and a microSD for an extra storage that can hold up to 64GB.
There are two cameras on the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, 3.7-megapixel front camera with f1.9 lens and 16-megapixel rear camera with Auto Focus and Smart OIS. For connectivity, this big smartphone packs Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac which provides maximum speed, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, IR LED, GPS and USB 2.0.
This smartphone is already running on the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS and it will be available in two different color options – Charcoal Black and Frost White. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge smartphone is expected to be available in the markets later this year.
